EPL might just lose its top scorer, Harry Kane, has it been reported that Real Madrid’s president Florentina Perez has set his sight on the Tottenham Hotspur striker to fill up the role of Karim Benzema who has underperformed this season for the La Liga champions.
Harry Kane ended the season as the top scorer with 29 goals and could well be on his way to join former teammate, Gareth Bale, in the Spanish capital. The English forward achieved his feat of 29 goals in just 30 games and took home the premier league golden boot for the second year in a row and helped Tottenham finish second on the table.
His form which has been a source of joy for everyone at the club is slowly becoming a source of concern as he has now caught the attention of Real Madrid, with the club willing to pay over 100 million pounds for the English striker and continue the trend of Tottenham losing its best players to bigger clubs in the past. The same way they did with Gareth Bale, Luka Modric, Michael Carrick and Dimitar Berbatov.
Harry Kane was instrumental in Tottenham Hotspur’s rise this season as they pushed Chelsea to the limit before faltering against West Ham after a 9 game winning run in the league.
It remains to be seen if Tottenham Hotspur will be able to resist the huge cash that will be thrown at them during the transfer window as they are renovating their stadium to increase the capacity and would need all the funds that they can get.
Although it doesn’t seem like the club chairman, Daniel Levy and manager, Pochettino will be willing to sell any of their top players as the club is on the ascendancy and will be looking to get some silverware next season.
