Gennady Golovkin believes his fight with Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez in the city Las Vegas is the “biggest fight of this era”.
Golovkin who currently holds the WBC, WBA and IBF middleweight titles could lose all his titles if he loses to Canelo.
Golovkin will be hoping to extend his unbeaten professional record when he faces Canelo, 27, to 38 fights.
“This is the biggest fight in the history of boxing in this era and it will be really huge,” Golovkin said.
Canelo who is also a 3-time world champion in two different classes has only lost one of his 51 fights which were against Mayweather in 2013.
The Fight Will Be Hell
Oscar De La Hoya who is the promoter of the fight which is set to take place at the T-Mobile Arena believes the fight will be a lot of hell.
“I don’t talk much but I know I am prepared,” Canelo added.
“I know the fight will be tough and I am ready for it all the way. I want the fans to enjoy it as much as I would.”
The fight is set to take place in the same venue as Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor fight but with less theatrics and more grit and real boxing.
