Paris Saint-Germain manager Unai Emery has revealed that he would like the highly coveted Monaco forward, Kylian Mbappe, to play under him next season.
Kylian Mbappe’s exploit last season has generated a lot of interest from a lot of top clubs this season and it is rumoured that it will take a world record fee to take the striker away from Monaco.
Although both Arsenal and Real Madrid are well ahead in the chase for the young Frenchmen, Emery has thrown his hat into the ring as he has revealed that he wants Mbappe in Paris.
Real Madrid and Arsenal have been two of the sides at the forefrount of the battle to sign the teenager, but Emery has admitted that he wants the player to move to the French capital.
He Should Play For Passion
“When there are talks about Mbappe in Spain, it is always focused on him going to Real Madrid or Barcelona. But wouldn’t it be great if he stayed back in France with a strong French team? Emery said during a press conference in Spain.
“I respect Monaco but I think he will be better off in Paris because his family is here. His parents also live here and he played for an Academy in Paris.”
“We always talk about desire, passion and feeling. So wouldn’t it be beautiful if he represented his own city and be recognised there?
“It is quite obvious that I’m biased but that’s how I felt when I played Real Sociedad.”
“I really cannot say if Real Madrid wants him or if he wants to go Barcelona or play in the English Premier League. But I think it will be better for him to come to PSG if he wants to leave Monaco. Because he will be representing his own city”
It is quite obvious that Emery does not like to mince words but it remains to be seen if Mbappe or Monaco share his thoughts.
