Kanye West has been hospitalised, reality show producers confirm

With fears mounting over his mental health, the producers of Keeping Up With The Kardashians have confirmed that rapper Kanye West has been hospitalised.
Kanye shocked fans when he suddenly cancelled the final 21 dates of his tour.
Friends close to the superstar said that he had suffered a nervous breakdown caused by problems within his marriage to reality star Kim Kardashian, along with the pressure of being on tour.
A spokesman for E!, which broadcasts the Kardashian family’s reality show as well as a number of spinoff programs, said that Kanye had been taken to the Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center after his personal doctor called emergency services.
No cameras were filming at the time the 911 call was made. His wife Kim has so far made no comment on Kanye’s hospitalisation.
Police officers with the Los Angeles force confirmed that they had been called to a property in West Hollywood.
While they would not confirm that it was the home of Kanye, they said that a person had been taken by ambulance to hospital where he was being treated on a psychiatric ward.
Kanye is understood not to have been at his own home, but at a property belonging to his personal trainer when the call to the emergency services was made.
Kim had been expected to attend a charity event to honour her late father, Robert Kardashian, who lost his battle with cancer. However, she did not arrive at the event following her husband’s hospitalisation.
Her mother Kris Jenner and sisters Khloe and Kourtney did attend however, simply telling media, “They’re good,” when asked how Kim and Kanye were.
Kanye cancelled his tour after a bizarre outburst on stage in Sacremento in which he criticised Hillary Clinton and friends Jay-Z and Beyoncé.
