Fashion designer and public figure Lauren Conrad and husband and lawyer William Tell present their first bundle of joy, their son, Liam James.
“We are thrilled to share that we welcomed our son Liam James Tell into our family,” the couple tell PEOPLE exclusively of their bundle of joy, who was born Wednesday, July 5, in the afternoon. “Mom, Dad and baby are doing well.We’re already in love!”
The proud parents got married September 2014 at a sunset ceremony in Santa Ynez, California, at a boutique winery. Liam was born weighing 6lbs., 4oz.

Conrad revealed on New Year’s Day, that she and her 37-year old husband were expecting and shared a sonogram picture on her Instagram account, “Happy New Year! I have a feeling 2017 is going to be the best year yet …”
The best-selling author, philanthropist and fashion designer has been preparing with excitement and enthusiasm, ushering in her new phase of parenthood.
“I see our lives changing,” She told press in early June. “I think you don’t know until you’re there. I have very nice friends who are attempting to prepare me, but everybody does it differently.”
The then mom to be added,” … It’s going to be a lot less sleep, so that’ll be an adjustment, but we’re excited.”
“I really wanted a boy,” Conrad told the press. “My husband kept saying, ‘We just want a healthy baby.’ And I’d say, ‘But a boy would be nice!’”
The already busy Conrad, who juggles LC Lauren Conrad’s line for Kohl and carries the designer duties at Paper Crown as well as writing for various sources and she runs her Little Market philanthropic work, is grateful she had a boy.
She explained of her preference, “I was a wild little tomboy, so I think I understand boys. My mom always told me that nobody loves you like a son does, especially when he’s young.”
Conrad goes on to share that she has a strong community and her mother will be there whenever she needs support.
“Both of our families live about 20 minutes from us so I think we’ll have a lot of help, which is really great,” said Conrad “William and I are so fortunate that we’re having the first grandchild on both sides.”
