Markle will attend Pippa Middleton’s wedding, but with a warning.
Following Meghan Markle’s announcement that she’ll be shutting down her lifestyle blog, The Tig, observers have been expecting patiently an engagement announcement for Markle and her boyfriend, Prince Harry.
Clues for the upcoming announcement:
British tabloid editors were giddy with anticipation after Harry was spotted visiting Markle in Toronto a few days before Easter.
Two further developments that seem to indicate that Harry and Markle might be making things official very soon happened over the weekend. The first one was that Markle has reportedly cut ties with the Canadian clothing brand Reitmans, for which she has modeled and designed two collections. This move could be a sign that she is trying to get her affairs in order before a potential move to London.
The second, was that multiple outlets reported on Monday that Markle will be attending Pippa Middleton’s wedding on May 20 with Harry. But due to strict royal protocols, Markle will not be allowed to attend the actual ceremony, which will be held at St. Mark’s Church, as she is not yet engaged or married to Harry.
However, Markle will supposedly be allowed to attend the reception, in the evening, as it is not under the same rules. According to Hello magazine, Markle has asked for a week off of work from filming Suits, from May 15 to 22, in order to attend the wedding. But a source claimed that Suits is on hiatus that week.
In an interview released over the weekend with the Telegraph, Harry said: “I, of course, I would love to have kids.”
When will the big day be?
Now some questions remain about the day of the engagement: Will Megan and Harry get engaged before or after Pippa’s wedding? If they get engaged before it, will they wait to announce until after the wedding so as to not in any way steal her thunder?
